Yesterdays outing

Hi all, This is just a quickie to show you how we went on at the Gala yesterday, it was Sun and Showers all the way, couple of heavy downpours, but all in all it went well and we all had a wonderful time,

Here's my Girl, almost jumping out of her seat when she spotted me, they all looked so gorgeous..

My Boys.. part of the local Footie Team, they had to walk it all the way and needed  a quick snack before they could even cope with anything else..lol....

YES...That is a Goldfish.....well her Mum said NO but we had other idea's....
Guess where it spent the night.....YEP...I have a 'pet'....lol...

For my lads it was far easier, they opted for a Toy apiece....

We had a fab day and I held up well, although I did have to be rescued  to get home..lol...

      Today I feel like I have been hit with a Truck, but to see everyone have such fun was worth it...

Oh what did you all think of the Olympic opening then, WOW, talk about above and beyond...I was impressed and very relieved, thought it was spectacular and that couldron....OMG...brilliant....very proud I am...lol...enjoy the rest of the day...hugs Janette.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx                    

Good Morning Bloggers, hope you have all enjoyed a lovely week so far....
Here in the UK we are so excited about the Olympic Games starting this evening...oh it's all buzzing I can tell you, I personally, love the opening ceremony the best, all the excited faces,I always end up crying, I just can't help myself...lol...I cried my eyes out last Sunday night when little Olga Corbett was on Dancing on Ice.....now there is a legend....lol....

This week at CraftyCatz we are having an All that Glitters week....we are all glistening I can tell ya....our Fabulous teamie Kim chose the theme and all the girls played for hours with there glitter pots.....lol....we had some great  images to play with to, from our lovely sponsors this week......

Thats all for now.....how are you all coping with the children off school then......you know it wouldn't be so bad if everything they want to do wasn't so expensive, I don't know how families cope, what a nightmare....
It's our Village Gala on Saturday,  my Grandkids are in it this year, Mia is a Princess, and Lucas and Kaleb are on the Footie Float,,,,I can't wait to see them, it's good for me it passes my house, just in case I'm having a bad day and can't get anywhere, although I will be trying, maybe hitch a ride on the floats as they pass...lol....oh can you imagine Carla's reaction to that little scenario...lol....but I do know them all, I mean it is a tiny village...lol...now I am just amusing myself....so silly...I know.....will let you know how it goes.....

Well I must tell you this, last week when I was feeling all sorry for myself..lol...well, I was at home with the children and Lucas said someone is at the door Nan....looks like one of your craft friends.....................It was my lovely pal Christine...AKA Tilly Trotter.....she had come all that way, a quick cuppa, some craft supplies for a wounded friend..lol...and...WAIT FOR IT....A 3 COURSE MEAL.....lol....all done like a proper take away....lol....whats she like, oh it was gorgeous,everything was home made from the soup to the crumble....God Bless that woman....oh and by the way, she has alot to cope with in her own life......Tilly I love you to death, your a true friend and a Star....

Good morning my lovelies, hope you all had a fab week and are ready for the week-end, our Kids are all breaking up from School today for the SUMMER hols.....Oh the laughing and fun we will have...lol....as they tread a path from there door to mine....you do know I love them really..lol...

Here's my card , now I know there is very little about this card. the image is

from Victoria Case, coloured with Promarkers

Cardstock was randomly stamped with TH Distress ink ,Frayed Burlap

Stamped and cut out the leaves and just brushed lightly with Comic shimmer

Die cut swirls are from my lovely pals, Sue and Tilly, thankyou so much girls

The little tag was also a stamp from the same set think it's an old MME , love it to death for all the little bits and bobs in there...Satin button and ribbon from stash...

OK then, let me fill you in on my week so far...lol...

Well I can't speak now for three days, and it's not getting any easier...I have been 'off colour' as my Mam would've said..lol...for a while, had loads of bloods taken, my legs and feet have been so swollen I could hardly walk, back to Dr I go on Monday to see whats next, my heart seems ok so he said maybe it's Thyroid.....mmmmm...heard this before...in the meantime, I can't go anywhere...and Yesterday was my beloved, only Daughters Graduation , because this year it's a long haul to the Cathedral, guess who could'nt go.......cry, cry and cry all afternoon, well silently....she went off with her little family in the morning and rang to let me know what was going on and how beautiful it was....Oh I feel so devastated, I just can't tell you how much I look forward to this, and I always feel it's my right to be there...lol...she has lots of pics for me, but I am soooo upset....she worked so bloody hard...oh well...she got her BSc upper 2.1 by the way and I am so very proud....

Phew, are you still here...lol...

I'm sure all you Mums will understand....sorry to drive you all nuts with it...lol...

A bag for a challenge...or two...

Afternoon Girlies, hope your all well on this gloomy day....well it is here anyway......
Made this little bag for a friend, although it's very likely Mia will have it before it gets anywhere....lol...

The image is of course from Krista Smith at Saturated Canary, coloured with Promarkers
LOTV sentiment, big button, muslin and doily all from my stash

As you can see all the edges have been heat embossed with gold embossing powder...

If anyone would like to see how I made this I can show you, just didn't want to shove it down everyones throat..lol...oh you know what I mean...I hope....

Good Morning blogland, Oh I am sooo late with my post again, so sorry..I have no excuse besides sheer lazyness, can hardly stay awake right now...lol..
Lets get on, this week at CraftyCatz we have a fab challenge for you, the OLYMPICS....chosen by our very lovely and multi talented Bridget.....
Don't get scared, you can put as little as a flag on your card or go the whole hog...lol...as long as it has something to do with the coming Olympics...so excited....lol...

Well, after racking my brains on this one, I went for the' desperate housewife' look....lol...oh don't pretend...we all know 'THAT' feeling...lol...
Two of Mo's bestest images were combined to get the look, his face is perfect don't ya think...lol...
coloured with Promarkers,flag images from Google and cut to make bunting, which is threaded on crochet cotton...the sentiment was just done on PC and cut out..(roughly...I know) by myself....I think thats it, not much to it really but it took me ages to get it how I wanted....lol....

Birthday Card...

Hi lovelies, hope all is well in your part of the world...
This is a quickie, remember on my last post I said I was going to show the card I made for Tillys Mum and then had no picture.......I KNOW !!!!!!!!.....well the lovely Tilly sent it to me....hope you like...it looks very shiny , think she was doing her David Bailey when taking this...lol...THANKS TILLY..( have to be careful she soon gets upset..lol.)

The image was a Freebie from Magic Moonlight, I did pick this up last year but here is the link, some gorgeous stuff on there girls.....I did lots of heat embossing and crackle glazing and cosmic shimmering on this and really enjoyed making it...

I hear that her Birthday week-end went very well, although poor Tilly is now officially worn out..lol....

Tick Tock....

Good afternoon girls, hope your all either enjoying a lovely crafty day or the Tennis...I know which one AuntySue is doing and it involves her screaming at the telly...lol.....oh aye, she starts off all prim.... IN HER WHITES.... and strawberries and cream...but trust me when I tell you...she'll be screaming before it ends...lol...

Now I had wanted to show you a card I made for my good friend Tilly's Mum this week, but I didn't take a picture apparently....lol....thought I had and wrote my post up...but no images...DOH....you know I think I'm having more moments than I care for....I only found out this morning that I hadn't linked my last card up to one of the challenges..had to make a dash and hope they forgive me...

This is one I did recently for a Retirement, a friend of Carla's, thought I'd make the clock the center of focus, I think I got an idea for this from the lovely Doreens blog, only hers was far better...

it's a stamp set I've had forever and I triple heat embossed it then glossey accented it, layered it up on some die cut circles, which were also embossed, found an old silvery looking button in stash and added a chain and charm to it. the gorgeous lilac dies are from AuntySue, so beautiful and I am so mean with them..lol...made a little tag and put some of the push out shapes from dis on the corners...everything else is stash I think...

Made a Box envelope with Ribbon from Dovecraft,

Thats it then, am off to see any challenges that I can actually enter into...lol...

I chose this image as we will be needing our ThankYou Teacher cards any time now, thought I'd make a start...I played around in Serif and placed the image in front of an old one from Tiddley Inks, a blackboard image I've had for ever, I'm not kidding you, this comes out every year, I even used it, re-sized, as backing paper...fabulous...

Coloured with Promarkers, Apple has 3d glossy accents on.. DP stamping up, scrim stash, Ribbon, Donna, heart die NS written word stamp from a MME set and ticket and paperclip stash
