Creative Inspirations challenge card

This week at C.I. the theme is a colour combo of Torquoise,Gold and Cream.
Used gold and cream cardstock,handcut circle and some little punched out tags as a surround,seed beads from stash,ribbon from stash,hangler image coloured with promarkers and layered onto a tag,flower from stash. Hope you like it,no sentiment as yet,think this will be one for the box.
Hopefully you are all well and the Sun is smiling down on you,we have had a lovely day again,lets hope it stays for the week-end,sorry to dash off,but got my Grandchildren here and they seem to have gone very quiet....mmmmmm,never a good sign...lol...take care,hugs Janette.xxx

CraftyCatz challenge

Hi everyone,Sorry not been about much this week,but the time just seems to fly by and no crafting done,whats going on,before we know it the kids will be on Summer hols,and then we will be looking Christmas in the face...omg....not got over the last one yet...lol...right then,heres my card for the challenge over at CC this week,to make a Shaped card....must confess,brain dead the minute I read the post..anyway decided to go for the good old heart shape...lol....LOTV fairy image,she is so sweet,papers from a cd,Redhotbed flower power,ribbon from some that I actually won in one of the very first CC challenges,little charm and toggle are from Dunelm mill,coloured in with promarkers and dusted...alot...with glamour dust...hope you like,not so sure myself,but maybe it will grow on me....oh and the little butterfly was sent from a DC friend ages ago...thats all ladies,hope you've enjoyed a day in the sun today,I only hope it will last the week-end for Fathers day tomorrow,not got mine anymore I'm sorry to say,but for all those that have,enjoy your day with the first man you ever loved and the only man you can ever really trust...lol....take care,hugs Janette.xxxx

Craftycatz and LOTV challenge card

Morning all,hope your all well on this lovely Sunny day...ok,it's not that sunny,but I live in hope it will pick up later....lol....this card is for the sketch challenge at LOTV and embossing over at Craftycatzimage is LOTV,so cute....coloured in with Promarkers,gorguss singhams paper,suede effect paper and embossed card from stash...think I got this in a paper swap we once did at DC...flower is PM but the little spray,I found while rummaging through flowers yesterday...you never know what your going to find next do you...lol....ribbon from stash and gems PM....Now then,thats out of the way,yesterday I told you I was going to buy Fish for Mia's upcoming Birthday...well....we got all the way out there....guess what,she didn't really want them at all....lol....it's a good job she is so gorgeous and I love her more than life itself....lol.....anyway,she gave me a list of what she did want so I could choose from that....and in turn I gave it to Carla,told her to leave the kids with me and go get whatever she thought...lol.....oh I was worn out...lol....so she has ended up with some nice gifts which she will get tomorrow...but today is her party day at the Zoo.....don't ask....so busy day for Nanna here....sorry to ramble on,hope your all having a nice week-end whatever your doing....I will proberbly be to tired to move after today,so be back when I can....just kidding.....hugs Janette.xxxxx

Do crafts friendship swap

Made this for the friendship swap which is organised by Caroljenks over at DC....I have loved doing this particular swap as you tend to get to know alot more crafters through it,but unfortunately,because of whats happened on the site,I may not get a chance to do many more....most of the time,it's impossible to get on there,my Gallery is still not allowing me to upload...{lets not fan THAT flame again}...and now I can't even leave a comment or post anything on there....it's sad,I have made so many friends on there,just have to hope we can stay in touch through the blogs I suppose....the image was a freebie from here...card is suede effect,sent by a friend on dc...coloured in with promarkers and chalk,thats about it,hope your all enjoying your week-end,today I am going fishing...lol...not THAT sort...buying fish for my Grandaughter,it is her Birthday on Monday,she will be seven....where did that go...she wants a fish tank etc;so I said I would buy her that...little did I know how much they cost now...not that she isn't worth every penny...but omg....do they just pick a number out of a hat or what,Carla bought two Rabbits and a hutch last night,in total it cost £150.00....for a couple of rabbits,mind you she did go and get a two stroy house for them,"It's got little stairs in Mum," she said....lol......more money than sense methinks...lol....anyway,enough ranting,must go and shower,will let you know how I get on....bye for now,take care,hugs Janette.xxx

CraftyCatz challenge...one for the boys...oh nooooo

Hi All,Hope you have been having a good week-end so far,typical BankHols weather I see.....not to worry as it is supposed to pick up tomorrow...fingers crossed...ok then,about my card,I feel abit of a cheat really with this,I suppose it's because it has a photo in place of an image normally used...but I hope it will be forgiven as it is for my Grandson to give his daddy on Fathers day.... the whole card was made using a digi download from the wonderful Summer Driggs....if you haven't been and visited her blog before I can highly recommend it,I have been a big fan for a long time now,she is amazing,her kits are always so packed full of papers and embellishments,and obviously,once you get your hands on them you can resize as you like...the photo is of my G.son Kaleb...who will be five in Oct;but starts School this Sept along with Lucas...same ages,same School....oh dear....good job Carla works there methinks...or is it....lol....the only thing I added is the button,which came from stash......hope you like and can forgive me on this occasion...lol....have a fun day...take care..hugs Janette.xxxxxxxxxxx

Card for my fairy Godmother....

Evening ladies,what a scorcher it's been today,can you believe how hot it was...at one point I thought I would melt...I went to get hold of a little trowel in the garden and dropped it as quick as I could,it was red hot....lol....amazing.....anyway....this card was made for a pal of mine,just as a little thankyou for all her help and generousity towards me,now as per,I couldn't get a pic of it,as THEY still haven't returned the camera to me and with theflowers being so bulky it wouldn't scan......sorry to go on....anyway,my lovely pal AuntySue,took pics and e-mailed them to me and told me to get it on my blog...lol....the image was sent by a kind friend,all the was written on the back was VictoriaCase,I love it so much and knew that Sue did too,coloured in with a mix of promarkers,distress inks and chalk,the paper was the very last scrap from a huge book I once had...sob...sob....sentiment was from stash,flowers I made...never really done any like this before so hope they pass muster...gems PM and the pins are just some I had and I threaded beads onto....hope you like it I know Sue did....lol....take care and don't get burned....you'll only peel...lol....xxxx

Made this one for someone who is having abit of a personal struggle at the moment......just wanted her to know that I am there for her and she shouldn't let go of all her plans...can't say more than that really.....I know she will love this image though and hopefully the sentiment with it.......

coloured with a combo of promarkers and shimmer chalks,and her wings are glamour dusted.
Ribbon from stash and the little flowers were part of a spray which I split up and wrapped round the ribbon.

Wallet for a friend

Card Kit swap

This is a monthly swap run on the Do-crafts forum,I really enjoy this one,we just simply make a card for a partner then send it off,complete with everything you have used to make it....it's amazing how all the cards turn out,even though you started with the same kit.....anyhow,I got mine today and made this with it,I hope Jackie likes it,now usually I would show both my own and Jackie's,but I don't have her permission to put it on my blog,so best not to,just take it from me her card is gorgeous.......I think most of the kit is PM and I coloured the image with promarkers....and.....the only reason I have put it on my blog today is because.......I STILL cannot upload to my gallery on DC......aaarrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh....I am so unhappy about it and can't get any response from the powers that be......thankyou for letting me share this with you,I may just have gone crazy other wise....lol....hope your all doing ok,thanks so much for taking time to pop by,take care,hugs Janette.x

Afternoon Ladies,what a gorgeous day again,we are sooo going to pay for this lovely weather...lol......this week over at CI the challenge is to alter a CD....not done one before,can't think why as looking at the DT's you can do anything imaginable with them,given me lots of ideas.....mine however is kind of short and sweet,as they say....but I hope you'll like it just the same,used forever friends stash that I have had a million years....(well almost)the 'I love you' was one thats been in a craft box for ever,ribbon from stash,punched out circle for the big button and the hearts are also punched......let me tell you about my beloved circle punch.....it died this afternoon.....oh I so loved that punch......had my money's worth mind...but even so....now I have to buy new one......all very sad....lol.....what do you make of the new DC site......oh pleaseee,don't get me started....am so dizzy with it and yesterday,I threw a fit and went off vowing never to return....and if it wasn't for the friends I have on there I wouldn't.....so there.....lol......thankyou so much for taking the time to visit my blog and for putting up with my ramblings.....have a fab week-end and take care....hugs Janette.xxxxxxx

Some pics at last

Hi All,At last I managed to get my SIL to e-mail some of my pics for me,but I am abit cross....to say the least.....he has only sent two of the boxes and none of my Easter milk cartons or my new craft space.....have just rang Carla and asked why,guess what,she will ask Matt later.....omg.....couldn't you just scream.......anyway,made these to fill with bits and bobs and send to a friend or two,I do have a box making fettish,not that you would know,but I love them,all shapes and sizes...lol....my fav here is the strawberry one,the image is one AuntySue sent me a while back I just coloured in with promarkers and then uploaded it to pageplus,far easier than doing all that work don't you think,the lid lifts and it has a little drawer,which I put a little catch on,the red card stock was some really good solid stuff from the papermill,I hope you like it,strawberry's always remind me of my Mum.....anyway,both boxes are same style,one was slightly bigger than the other....mainly because I don't really keep measurements I just go for it and fight with it till I have it sorted.....naughty I know but thats how it works for me,I have tried in the past working with templates etc; and it dosn't always work for me...so I suppose I am a 'Crafting Cowboy/girl'...you know what I mean....lol.... I hope you don't mind me showing things without all the pics there should be,but thought that everyone will think I've gone abit daft keep promising.....lol......thanks for popping in and having alook,please let me know what you think,I love your comments on things,and it's nice to know I am not alone....take care,hugs Janette...xxxxP.S. CraftyCatz Challenge card

Hello everyone,it feels like forever since I made a challenge card,have missed being on as much I don't mind saying....hope now everything will settle back to normal...whatever normal is....it's colour challenge week at CC,Green,Blue and Brown I made this one in abit of a hurry,so I hope it's ok,the papers I have had in stash for ages,in fact every little thing on this one is from 'old' stash,even the ribbon was some I bought about a year ago in Tesco of all places.....coloured in with promarkers.....now then,what you all been up to then...lol....I have lots of pics to show,my Daughter have 'loaned' me her digi camera....it's just great,only thing I need to do now is work out how to get the images from the darned thing on onto my pc....lol....and YES...finally....we have hot water and heat........oh it was a hard life for a while there......well I hope your all well and having a nice week-end,the sun is shinning and the world looks sweet...although tomorrow is another day.....have fun and take care,hugs Janette.xxxx

Good morning Ladies,what a gorgeous morning,the sun's a shinning and it all looks so bright,did you all remember to turn your clocks forward...lol...yes I did actually...lol....right then,my card for the CraftyCatz this week has to be white and only one other colour,I opted for blue...SarahKay image,coloured with promarkers,cardstock papermill,flat backed pearls also papermill,flowers from stash and no idea where they were bought,sorry really as I think they are quite sweet...sentiment is from a set Daisy&Dandelion,Ribbon was sent by a DC friend,Edge punch is my old x-cut,and inked the edges with blue chalk..thats it.....well after today,I am another closer to getting my boiler fixed....and will I be happy,just to have hot water in the kitchen....what a luxury that will be...lol....have a good day and enjoy the weather while we have it,take care,hugs Janette.xxx

Good evening everyone,are you all having a relaxing time crafting,I think it's the only time I feel really relaxed and content...lol....well,I went over to AuntySue's blog this afternoon and saw her lovely card for this challenge,which this week is anything so long as you use a charm, and thought I should really try and get cracking on a challenge or two....very lax at the moment,must be the cold getting to my brain...or something.....lol.....made this one as a friend has a Birthday coming soon and, the image is from a new blog,it was a freebie and you can go get yourselves one from here....this one is called teenage girl,there are a couple of choices,and guess what.....it's a young man aged 16yrs who is drawing them....now thats Impressive,so please go along and have a look,his Dad also does some,worth the visit....I coloured her in with Promarkers,everything else is Papermania,apart from the charm.....CraftPlanet.....the sentiment...Daisy and Dandylion.....and the scalloped circle.....auntysue.....lol.....well I hope you like her and my card,love this paper,it's soooo delicious.....thanks so much for your visit,please leave me a message so I can come visit you....take care my lovely friends,hugs Janette.xxx

CraftyCatz challenge...Shades of Green

Good Morning Ladies,Hope your all enjoying your week-end so far.Well the sun is shining today and that always makes me feel better....I haven't done much crafting this last week as my house is soooo cold...my boiler decided to have a holiday,no heat or hot water....to top all that my shower broke a while back,well,you can imagine....anyway...my SIL came and fitted a new shower for me.....but the boiler is another story....the heating engineer was in London all week so had to wait for him,the news is not great,but hope soon to be able to sort it.....why do things like this NEVER happen in the summer...lol....I mean,we all cope better then,don't we......lol.....in the mean time not much crafting will be coming from here.....I cease-up and just can't work....lol....right down to business...the challenge this week is Green with an option for St.Patrick.....as you can see I didn't spend alot of time here,I don't really like Green to be honest,but thats another story...

CraftyCatz challenge card

Good afternoon Ladies,hopefully your all enjoying your week-end so far.Today is an unusually quiet day for me...so far anyhow....lol....I just know I should never have said that...have just done one so far,CraftyCatz this week wanted a Fancy or Shaped edge and ribbon,so this is what I came up with...image coloured with promarkers and whispers pens,paper from the PM capsule collection,flowers from Woodware punch,large button from stash,small ones are also PM......I really struggled with this,just went blank about the edges...lol...I just hope it is ok,and haven't yet put the sentiment on,there is a reason,but don't want to bore you to death with it all......well,I will try and see can I find any challenges that don't call for a Mothers day theme,alot of them are this week.....as my friend has just said,I could make one for Mia to give her Mum.....we shall see....good thinking though Sue....lol.....did you know she reads minds as well as everything else...so beware.....lol.....till next time ladies,take care,hugs Janette.x

Creative Inspirations challenge card

Afternoon Ladies...or is it evening now....well Hi anyway,sorry not been around much this week but with one thing and another...the week has just dissappeared before my very eyes...lol.....well the challenge this week is fab,Monochrome...but not strictly Black and White,which I always envisage...lol....I chose shades of Blue and white,you can still colour hair and skin of course,I used a Mos image,coloured with Sukura pens....skin and hair...promarkers,the flowers were a gift from a friend on do-crafts,little butterfly's from an old punch I had laying around,the paper I had in stash for at least 12mths....think AuntySue sent it to me actually......well she would be the most likely one...lol....ribbon is WildOrchid....oh yes...the little 'adore'sentiment,was from Scrapebook flair,think thats just about it......well I have to dash...again,need to go on DC as a couple of the Ladies there have had Birthdays today and need to see if they got there cards etc;Hope your all well and having a lovely evening,at some point I will have my Tea and watch Eastenders,then maybe...hopefully....crafting....oh that sounds like a good idea....lol....take good care all,hugs Janette.x

Not for a challenge

Just wanted to show you this little 'ditty'...lol...I made a couple for my Grandchildren to fill with chocs and give there Mums for Valentines day...have only just got the pics from my daughters camera.....lets say no more about that....lol.....I hope you think there ok,first attempt and no template so was quite pleased.....thanks to JakHeath for the love hearts etc free downloads.....just love them.....please let me know what you think...will be back soon with some challenge cards....if my pc lets me anyway,take care all,hugs Janette.x

TrulyScrumptious and CreativeInspirations

A quickish post today ladies...keep losing my connection so do it while the going is good....TrulyScrumptious have a sketch this week and CreativeInspirations are doing a Sepia theme...image from Mos...paper is papermania,ribbon from stash coloured using promarkers...they are getting a bashing I can tell you...lol....pc generated sentiment,edged with brown chalk and 3d glossed the image,tried to make it look as old and tired as possible really...think it worked to a degree.....sorry to dash,but worried I will just dissappear before I can upload...thankyou for all your lovely comments and I will be blog hopping around you all....well if my pc allows...fingers crossed...take care,hugs Janette.x

Birthday card for a friend

Just thought I'd show you this one,it isn't for any challenges,just trying to make a few Birthday cards for a few friends who's big day is fast approaching....now I must confess that I already have loads of cards in a box......but I never feel quite happy with them somehow.....it's a good job this one will be used shortly...or it would also be for the chop....lol......well I hope you like it,fab paper from Papermania capsule collection,as are the ribbons and little buttons....soooo cute......all gifts from Sue......and the flowers are from my woodware punch....coloured in with promarkers for the skin tones and whispers for her dress and flowers,3D glossed her wings and the flowers on the image.......I hope thats it,please let me know what you really think...don't want to dissappoint any of the DC girls now do I...lol...take care,hugs Janette.x

Allsorts Challenge...and Friendship swap

This week at Allsorts,it's 3-2-1.....well I decided to have ago and combine it with my Friendship swap card for Do-Crafts,run by Caroljenks.....right for the 321 challenge I used 3 flowers,2 papers,1 ribbon,papers are papermania,ribbon from stash,flowers from woodware punch,pearls from papermill,coloured in using a combo of promarkers and whispers pens....the image is one from a fellow dc-er and I just love it,thought it was perfect for a friend card,looks like she is handing over a flower....or is that just me....lol...now onto the DC swap...Carol runs this for us all every month,it's a fab way of meeting new friends as well as having something to do with the cards you make...well in my case it is....occasionally she sets a little extra and we can win a little something from Carol....nice touch don't you think.....lol....this months extra is to have something on the card that crawls...so I stamped a Ladybird and coloured it,then scanned and resized it to fit on my sentiment....good eh!!..lol...well I was pleased with it anyway...I only hope that when Sue see's this she dosn't expel me from the 'simples club'....don't think she will,we only have 2 members at the moment,although she is trying to recruit another as we speak....lol....honest.....oh and just in case Carol see's this and wonders why I have'nt put it in my DC gallery,I am posting tomorrow,but know that my partner never comes on here....thanks for popping by,take care,hugs Janette.x

Colour Create and Crafty Catz Challenge card...

I don't mind telling you I have not had a good time at all with this one....all my own fault,almost finished it and knocked a cup of Tea everywhere.......after the hysterics and the tears came the anger....so mad at myself....soooo,had to start over and then.....I scanned it and it squashed my beautiful flowers....they were all curly and pretty.....lets face it....this was not the best idea for today....lol....so on to the job at hand....for colourcreatethe theme this week is Red white/off white Chocolate and pink....whereas at CraftyCatz it is all about Buttons and Bows and these gorgeous papers were just the job,it was a pack from my good friend AuntySue,part of my Fab presents she sent me for my Bday,they are Papermania Capsule collection and I love them..flowers were also sent by Sue,pink pearls from Papermill,ribbon is celebrations,buttons from stash,coloured in with promarkers...also from Sue,dusted the heart and the edge of her dress with glamour dust,and 3d glossed her shoes......oh and obviously the image is from Mo's...now about this image,does it remind any of you ladies of a time when our Mum's dressed us like this,especially for Easter and Whit-week....frilly dress'and knickers too....then we went to see the Whit-walks...all the Pipers throwing sticks in the air.....oh it was Fab.....memories of times like that are wonderful,todays kids miss out on so many simple pleasures.....sorry to take you down memory lane with me...lol...hope your all having a lovely romantic day...if like me your alone today,well I hope your fine,apart from my fight with a cuppa....I am....take care,hugs Janette.x

CraftyCatz Challenge card..

This week is a colour combo of Lilac and Lemon.....worked out very well for me as I had a card to make for a lovely couple who have just announced that they are expecting.....the image is called Moon Bear...he is so cute and I have had him saved for a long time....I thought it was way past time he came out of hiding......the papers are gorgeous ginghams,coloured in with promarkers.....and lots and lots of glamour dust,ribbon from stash,sentiment from pc....thanks so much for coming over to see my card,let me know what you think...sorry to dash off today,thought I was going to have a sweet day to myself.....but oh no....should'nt really complain should I.....so many people would swap with me I suppose...lol....take care now and please come back again...hugs Janette.x

I decided to use the very gorgeous papers from JakHeath,they were a freebie on her blog,which you can find http://www.jakheath.com/she has some amazing tutorials and downloads,lots of inspiration to find there.....my image is of course First Kiss....I love it coloured in with my very first set of Promarkers....an early Birthday Gift from my best buddy AuntySue...she is so very good to me....and I am so over the moon with them..Thanks my lovely pal...xxx now I've lost track...lol...oh yes my card....spritz it with a touch of glimmer mist...rich gold....added ribbon from stash and a faux button cut out from the hearts on the paper and glossed...cut out a million little hearts and edged the hearts etc; with them...oh I hope I have covered everything.....I hope your all keeping well.....am off to try and do another challenge card now,if I am allowed some time...lol....kids...they leave home or marry and still here all the time....what do you do....lol....well,take care my friends,thanks for popping in to see me,hugs Janette.x

Good morning all,well the snow has left yet again,but it's still freezing here,hope your keeping warm wherever you are....onto my card,thought I'd do this one as I liked the look of the sketch....had a mishap with the card though......but having shown it to my friends on do-crafts,decided to use it anyway.....lets just say I won't be using gloss as much in the near future.....
