Sew,sew,sew....

Good afternoon, hope it's a good day for you...
Just a quick one today, a kind of 'mid-weeker' if you like...I recently purchased this fabric from EmpressMills, I do love the place, and I have to say the service is brilliant........[no I am not on commission to say that...haha...]
Also I have read about Bosal but never tried it, well you have to, so I did...I adore the stuff, makes life so easy, only problem, my machine had a hard time taking the thickness once I was trying to sew every section together, but I struggled on bit by bit, the lines are abit wonky for sure, I mean some are a shameful sight, but I love this big happy shopper.........
Now if you see one of these on the sight, you will see how fabulous it can really look, but hey, never say I didn't try...
I had enough Bosal over to make a nice place mat too, that was easy to sew, give it a try, it gives a firm yet soft feel and more body.....
Thanks for being here...oh and if any of you have this template on your blog, where the heck are the followers....lol...I have tried every which way, I see them in layout but no way can I get them to show up on here...weird...or is it just me....

Play day....

Hello my lovelies, I hope you've had a really good week-end, it finally snowed last night, the first I knew was the sound of snowballs hitting my windows and a laugh that I love most...[MIA]...she was with her dad and Lucas and they ended up with a few neighbours out too, she promised if I opened the door she would not throw anything...do I need to say more....lol...a few short years ago I would have been out like a shot...oh I love the snow....right then, why am I here....this afternoon I had a play time, mixed media which I haven't done properly in so long, I have to say I have enjoyed this so much, I had no plan, just began with a small board and from there it went...what do you think...I mean really...!!!!!!
I have painted with acrylics, thrown finnabar mica at it and sploshed and splashed all over the place, the flowers were all wild orchid the clock die is TH, brick stencil Clarity, everything else, which includes nails, from stash....
 close ups
Can you spot the pencil and safety pin..
Oh I have had fun, will have to get doing more......
Hope you like, thanks so much for your visit, I do appreciate it, traffic is slow in blogland these days.....think everyone has buzzed off to FB....

My card is very simply all fur coat and no knickers as they used to say...
DP is from a BoBunny paper pack that was a lovely freebie in Cardmaking Mag last year....ribbon from stash and the sentiment is, of course from Bugaboo, thank you...

On a personal note
We are having to say Good-bye to one of our favourite team mates today, and that's Anna you will be missed, she is such a fun person but her life is making changes and that's the way it goes I think.....stay in touch...

Sewing project...

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying the week so far...
I have got yet another chest infection, I think I should join the 'Sod it' club, what can you do...!!!!!!
OKAY..
I have twiddled about with bits of quilting, mainly bags, I am NO WAY, much good at this, let me just state that fact, but it is something I can sit and do when I feel not so good and can't colour as the fumes get on my chest...SO...I began doing this little ditty before Christmas and then it got pushed out while we did the whole family thing...as you do....but I have managed to finish it, and I am chuffed, it is not a huge project, and 'Real' quilters will wonder why I am so pleased with myself, but I am, I love the fabrics and the design, each square is around 10inch so you can get the gist, nice for a baby even...
I backed it in white cotton and edged with a satin border covered some buttons with matching fabric too....
So there we are....off to do another project ..will keep you posted if it doesn't end up in a knot...haha...
Thanks for your visit, please let me know what you think, or where I went wrong even....
Have a good afternoon...
Hugs, Janette...xxxx

Quick post...

Good afternoon all, I hope you are enjoying the week-end wherever you are and whatever the weather...!!!!!!
I made this little Tag for a friend last year and never blogged it, now I now opinion is divided about certain images, but I really like this, she looks so sweet...
I cut a tag out roughly by hand, covered it with some gingham material I had left over, added ribbon from dovecraft and a little smile sentiment I bought at Christmas, cut a tree die and placed it to hang out at the bottom, the Sherry Ann Baldy  image, was coloured with flex markers as per....
I feel bad that it's not a better picture but what can you do sometimes.......Anyway, I hope you like, she is so cute....lol....
Thanks so much for your visit,I seem to have lost a couple of followers, now that's so sad, I would rather they said why, if I have upset anyone than I am so sorry, I would never hurt any ones feelings and I don't get into gossip....but there you have it, just happens I guess.......oh yes, and a big thanks to all the lovely comment about my Jacob, it means so much to me.....
Until next time, take care...Janette.xxxx

CraftyCatz Challenge #306....all about flowers...

Good morning to you all..
Hope you all enjoyed the festivities but are you as happy as I am to be back to normal, it wears me out these days....did enjoy the family and pressies though, so I shouldn't moan....
Okay then, down to business....our first challenge of 2016 is hosted by our lovely boss lady Carol...she very much wants to see some flowers, be they stamped or digi...actually it will be a lovely change to be reminded that the sun will shine and the incessant rain will stop and flowers will bloom....[talk about needing a boat].....
We are so pleased to have two fab sponsors to kick start the year, and they are..
 AND
Here is the card I made, using a sponsor image
almost everything is from stash, with the exception of the banner which is from WOJ sale....sad about that ending....hope you like, personally I really was not happy with it, I just couldn't get it to look as I felt it should....anyway, I live in hope my mojo will return in the weeks to come...keep your fingers crossed for me will you..!!!!

That's about it then, I will share whats happening with our sweet boy Jacob though....
He was born with a problem with his Pancreas, he produces to much insulin, and it is rare and serious...he is constantly having his bloods taken throughout each 24hr period, if his levels drop then mummy and daddy have to contact the hospital, they are seeing a specialist in Manchester this month, he is the top guy for this illness, we are all praying that he will out-grow this, it can happen, in the mean time, he is growing and giving out such beautiful smiles, he is truly adored by us all,and his lovely Mummy never once complains, even though she has to wake him during the night, not something any mum wants to do with a sleeping infant, especially a new mum, do you remember how tired you were, because I do....wow...I will keep you up to date, but I felt I should share whats going on here....sorry if it's a bit long winded....here is a picture taken at Christmas with his brother, Kaleb, look at the smiles...precious stuff...
and one of the little man himself...
Thanks so much for being here, I do appreciate it more than you can imagine.....hope you have a wonderful week-end, take care, Hugs, Janette...
