Thankfully Christmas comes but once a year...........

Morning lovely people, after yesterday I am fit for nothing today, can hardly walk but I think its worth it to make the house look all Christmassy. Thought I would share what I was up to, the Tree and fireplace, still got a few things to add but its going to take a while before I can move about properly.

and I made this little book/journal from the die my friend Carol sent me out of the blue, its the first chance I had to play, granddaughter said its cool so it passed a test, thankyou again Carol, I have plans for more.

This is it, I covered it with one of the gelli plate designs I made ages ago

Just stamped each page with a very old little image I still love, it started out on a wood block but long since removed, it is pretty.

and this is a card I made last week

Coloured some card with chalks, embossed the image in white and then tore up some vellum for the sentiment, the edges were all cut on my brand new gift to self, TH deckle edge cutter, love it, worth every penny, as soon as I saw it I went to CraftStash and pre ordered it, its fab.
Thats it, I won't bore you with anymore today, going to have a good rest as I feel at least 90years old, haha...have a great day stay safe and warm, its gone really bitter here.xxx

Your tree and fireplace look amazing Janette, so beautiful and very festive. You are a bit naughty to overdo it though- I do hope you feel better soon.
I always miss having a 'proper' fireplace at Christmas, the decorations just don't look the same without one. We'll probably get our tree next week, don't like to get it too early after the year that we just had bare brown twigs- with baubles and lights- by Christmas day....
Beautiful card, the deckled edges do look lovely.
Have a good rest!

Your home looks like something out of a beautiful Christmas film! Gorgeous. so warm and inviting. Thanks for sharing the pics. As for your creations, all are wonderful. Glad to know the deckle edge cutter is a success, it's on my wishlist. Big holiday hugs from afar!

Putting up the decorations is exhausting Janette. This year I toned it way back and put my little tree up with some lights around the living room and hall and that's it. Thought I would have changed my mind but quite like the house clean and airy. I am loving your gorgeous journal and agree with your Granddaughter, very cool! Your card is so pretty too, again I love those soft colours and delicate stamping.
