Hello all, sorry for my absence again but you know how it goes and what with Christmas and New year out of the way I had a little spend on some new stash, then got hit, like a bus, with a rotten cold, oh my its horrible, anyways, on the up fingers crossed.
I saw a lady on FB make these and just had to have ago.
I bought some embroidery hoops, nice shape for a change, stencilled some material from my stash with black so soft fabric paint, added some bits of ribbon and strands plus some skeleton leaves, its place in a basket for no other reason than I felt like it. Added a black button because Mia said it needed it, :))I enjoyed doing it and have a few of these stencils now, they are so much better than my others because they tack themselves down and the difference is amazing.
I took this photo at the start of the month one evening, the sky has been so beautiful at times, the nights are getting slightly lighter, its all good, you have to look for the best don't you think.
Thats it for now lovely people, one last thing, I want to thankyou all for the lovely comments and emails over the last month enquiring about me or just to wish me well, its heartwarming and it made me feel so much better, bless you all.xxx

Hi Janette, lovely to see a post from you and great that you're feeling like creating again. This is a lovely project, perfect stencilling, love the rustic feel from the checked ribbon and dried grasses. Mia was right about the button.
Sorry you've had a rotten cold- not at all fun, but glad you're on the mend now. Your photo is stunning with the tree silhoutted against the wonderful colours of the evening sky . It's great that the days are getting slightly longer and lighter- we'll soon be looking for spring.
xx
It's getting back into a routine that's the problem Jenette. I know I've got lazy to many Chocolates and wine to drink so things don't go 'off' lol.
Fab way of using embroidery hoops and I LOve your embellishments.
Keep warm and get better soon.

I am so glad you are feeling better, touch wood so far no cold or flu but I will hope I can go though the winter without one nit that I have been going out much recently.
Lovely picture I like the oval hoop
Take care stay safe and well hugs xx
What a very beautiful project Janette, good to see you creating, especially after all you have been through recently. What a great way to show off this "natural" project, by placing it in the basket. As for the button? Mia is such a clever designer, she would know what would look good and the button certainly finishes it off. Your sky photo is gorgeous, we have had beautiful mornings and evening skies of late.
Keep well

What a great project. I love the shape of the hoop and your ribbon choice is wonderful and the wheat is just the perfect touch. Happy New Year my friend!
Thank you so much for your pretty Christmas card which arrived today, 19th January.....xxxxxx
We forget about ordinary colds and flues with covid Janette but they are still around! Hope you are feeling better now. I absolutely love what you have made and isn't it great that Mia has such a good eye for detail too! I am definitely excited to see the tiny stretch in the evenings!!
This is a wonderful project Janette! Will look so delightful anywhere you put it. Sorry to hear that you not been feeling so well. I´m home from work today as well with a little bit of a sore throat, headache. But feel much better then yesterday. It´s crazy, I would never stayed home for this before... But I agree you have to make the best of it, if it pretty skies, more light or as for me time to read a book. Take care!
Great to see y ou back on deck Janette and with such a fabulous project. I love it and yes, that black button just grounds it nicely. Keep up the good work. CarolG
Hi Janette, just catching up - as usual - love the shape of the embroidery hoop, and this is a lovely idea. Mia was right, the button does finish it off.

Love this so much, Janette! I've stenciled curtains, pillows, walls, and floors but I never thought about stenciling an embroidery hoop like this. It's so creative and would make such a cute gift too! Hope your week has been a good one so far, CoCo
