Quick Hello...

Hello lovely people are you all OK with these dreadful storms we are having, I just hope and pray that it ends soon, so many are flooded out and no power at all.

I have been wanting to add something to this cutting board since it got here, so this morning, after my food delivery I got to it, VERY simple as you can see, done in acrylics, one big bold strip and then a nice welcome....Question, do you think it needs alittle extra, or ok as is, let me know what you think.

Think the paint still slightly wet, it'll be fine..haha

Right, I am off to do some more Macrame, I was once into it big time, so thought I would try again, some of it is easy but I have forgotten alot, its in there somewhere just digging it out, thank heaven for pinterest and you tube.

Have a lovely afternoon and please stay safe, not worth chancing it if you don't need to.

I like the simple look and you have that lovely bold black against the wood looking fabulous. I can't think of anything I would put on there to enhance it except a little abstract scroll-y doodah flourish up in the RHS of the black strip. As Ginny says sometimes less is more. Great work Janette, so glad to see you are making again. CarolG

Have to agree with everone else- it loks great just as it is! It's always difficult to know when to stop, isn't it?
Good luck with the Macrame- I'm sure your skills will come back to you.
Just back from visiting my sister- her birthday today- nearly got blown away walking back to the car!

Less is more Janette and it looks awesome..I used to do Macrame years ago and made some wonderful hangers, then it went out of fashion but noticed a lot of it in the plant stores now and my daughter actually bought one on Sunday, a double one..I don't think I would know where to start now, but as you say You Tube..have fun and don't forget to share..

Good to see you doing some crafting Janette, you must be better? Love the cutting board idea, looks very professional. As for macramé, it must be 40 years since I did some. When we moved I donated it, as it was very out of fashion, so glad it's coming back in. Hope to see yours soon?

Such a pretty addition to your kitchen and a creative way to dress up your cutting board too, Janette. I think it's perfection! I love that you're rediscovering a craft you once loved. It makes me excited to revisit cross stitch one day too. Hope you have the best day, CoCo
