Sunny Saturday...at last...

Finally the rain has stopped and we have some sunshine, thankyou very much Mother Nature.I know so many of you down south are really having bad time with the water shortage etc; so I hope the rain comes for you soon.

**********************

I have been doing a couple of things for school for my daughter Carla, who is now the new Deputy Head of her school, so proud of her she has worked her socks off.

This first one is just a welcome sign on her classroom door

First try and no, she wanted the year of her class, so no stencil for that, had to buy decals for it and trust me these things are not cheap...

Thats it she says, also having changed the ribbon twice!!!!!

Next up a frame, so I found an old one, sanded it down, found some hessian paper and rubbed yet another decal on for her, by the time I had finished with this I felt I could build a frame no problems, haha

Just black acrylic paint and same old heavy wire I use to hang.

Now she wants more I think I passed some sort of test, had I known I may have flunked it :))

Now this is a card I made after seeing this cute little chap on Faiths blog, got him all done then lost him, had everywhere up and even the bin outside, no trace, after a while I gave up and went to grab my resin stuff from the shelf, guess what was on, my little card, its always the way. Sadly I was working with resin and splashed some on his cap, but honestly after all that I had to plod on haha...he can go in a 'save it' book, no sentiment as I was waiting for something to hit me...

Brick stencil and PM colours, he is cute isn't he, from QKR stampede.

and here is more of the flippin resin stuff that splashed him

Think I am getting abit better, time will tell, but its something else to play with..
Some have dried flowers, some have little charms.

Thats it, so sorry for the long post but best all at once than drag it out for days.

Have a lovely weekend whatever your doing.

Wow, you've been busy Janette! The welcome sign and frame you made for your daughter's classroom are fabulous- I really love that welcome sign with the little bees and their lovely messages-hope the children take note! I have a feeling she might be keeping you busy, you did such an excellent job on these.
Fab card with the cute little newsboy and that stencilled background, good to see that you're making cards again! The resin pendants are beautiful, you're so clever, I wouldn't know where to start. Glad you have some sunshine at last- maybe we'll get our share of rain one day soon!

Look at you go go go...I love your welcome sign and that lush gingham ribbon and the frame is just lovely, I should get some frames out of the garage and do something with them, but I just get into to card side of things and even making my bed is a chore..but I really love the frame is the matt black, and you newspaper seller, what a cutie, he could be announcing a baby boy or anything, he is fabulous, love him and coloured beautifully..your resin pieces are stunning, gosh would make lovely long necklaces, or short ones, really lovely work and it is so good to hear and see you creating and feeling hopefully happy and well..

Hey stop hugging all the rain, we have had a little drizzle that really all that did was wet the ground and the dust. we dont have a hose pipe so its watering cans up the garden on the tubs and anything that looks likes its suffering at the moment. it looks like no rain this week, we dont have a watering ban, Bristol water which we come under say they are ok at the moment, but for how long I dont know. Enjoy the rain

Yikes! You've been a busy bee Janette.
LOve your signs a lovely touch for the start of a new year. Definitely passed your test! 10 out of 10 from me. Super cute card. I lost a pair of scissors that had been my Mums. Found them nearly twelve months later in the bottom of my ribbon drawer. Your 'flippen' resin is Flippen GORgeous looking forward to seeing more.
