Happy rainy day Monday.....

Hello all, hope you all had a good weekend and are well, so many bugs about. My DIL has been quite ill, it started on her birthday last week so as yet not seen her, she is so lovely and I always say we are so lucky to have her in the family, fingers crossed we will get to see her soon.

********************************

OK, so I bought these little flat pack boxes but didn't realise they subject matter, it was all lovey dovey,  usually I would make my own, but thought for once I would take the easy route !!!! was I wrong, anyways, I had these beautiful papers from temu, so decided to use them.

This is how they started

Here they are

Edged with gold wax, hadn't changed the ribbon at this point just wanted to see what it looked like.

Thought they would make nice table gifts at the dinner table come Christmas, filled with some deliciousness of course.

Anyway this now lives with Mia of course haha.

I am off to do some house work and then who knows what, I have a new book looking at me, I pre-ordered it last February, it finally got here last week and I just haven't got round to it. Its Al Pacino, Sonny Boy, I love him, especially when he was younger and his story sounds worth reading about, so maybe I will get round to it.

Have a good day friends, a big 'THANKYOU' to those of you who always make it here with every post I do, I really appreciate the loyalty to me and my blog, so many can't be bothered anymore, its sad really but there you go.

What a transformation! Those papers are gorgeous, your finished box has such a lovely vintage look.
Hope your DIL is better soon, you're right about all the bugs going round- spoke to a friend yesterday- she has norovirus...and her daughter has covid so not a happy household with them both trying to keep away from each other!
Have a good week.

Janette, the thanks go to you for creating such beautiful things like this book to inspire us. With that cool, rainy weather a book sounds like a great pastime.

I find when Challenges never leave a reply... It will be sad especially for newbies to our world.

What a delightful post! Your creativity with the flat pack boxes is inspiring, and the gold wax edging adds such a lovely touch. They will surely make beautiful table gifts for Christmas. I hope your daughter-in-law feels better soon; she sounds like a wonderful person, and it’s clear how much she means to you. Enjoy your new book, it sounds like a fascinating read!

Those papers are gorgeous and make such a difference to the boxes and I'm not surprised Mia has claimed it.
